Things we love

Love is in the air for a lot of things at Content Soup this week. Here’s our top five.

1.       The Leeds band bowl off

We’re biased because we organised it, and because they’re two of our favourite bands, but watching Sunshine Underground and Pigeon Detectives take to the lanes at the new Roxy Lanes for a proper band bowl off was ace.  Rock and roll (ing). Get it?

2.       Prince coming to Leeds

News that Prince will play the arena in Leeds later this month has got us very excited! And the fact that the Souper who didn’t get see him in Manchester a couple of months ago is going to this gig makes the news even better. We can’t wait to see the Purple one gracing our city. Maybe he’ll pop to Roxy Lanes for a quick game of bowling before the gig starts…

3.       Owen Scott

We’ve been appointed to do the PR for Owen Scott, a bespoke tailoring business that’s just opened a shop in Leeds. And what a lovely shop it is! Bespoke tailoring blended with top-quality off-the-peg and hire options. There’s not many men who don’t look good in a suit, so if you want to smarten yourself up, go visit the lovely Scott and Andy at the new shop in Central Arcade.

4.       Sunshine

Summer feels like it’s finally arrived and if the forecast is right for the weekend, then we’re in for a scorcher. We’ve already dug out our flip-flops, dusted off our barbeques and got the wine sitting on ice.  Enjoy the sunshine everyone!

5.       Birds Eye’s pop up Instagram restaurant

Frozen food brand Birds Eye has opened a pop up restaurant this week, where diners are invited to pay for their bill by taking a picture of their food and sharing it on Instagram with the hashtag #BirdsEyeInspirations. The brand has created the PR campaign to launch its new Inspirations range and we think it’s a brilliant way to do it – consumers get to sample the food before making their images go social on Instagram. The pop up restaurant is in London at the moment, but will also be visiting Manchester and Leeds soon. We’ll definitely be paying it a visit when it arrives here!
