Things we love at Content Soup this week

It’s been another busy week at Content Soup, but we’ve still had time to love lots of things. Here’s our top five:

1.       The Glastonbury line up

Glastonbury is our favourite festival and this year’s line-up is one of the best yet. Wailers, E.S.G and Blondie. Yes please. We’re very excited to find out who will be announced as Saturday’s Pyramid Stage headliner. Fingers crossed for Prince! Let the countdown commence…

 2.       Thorpe Park’s April Fools’ Day PR stunt

Thorpe Park announced the launch of Thorpe Bark, the world’s first dog-friendly theme park, with bosses claiming they wanted to give guests' four-legged friends the chance to enjoy some of the thrilling rollercoasters and rides on offer. The story stated it has invited five of the UK's most daring dogs to trial the park and received glowing reviews. But the thing that really made it stand out was the picture the park issued of a dog in a specially adapted roller-coaster seat. Our favorite April Fools’ Day PR stunt by far.

3.       Amazing Graze at Left Bank

Amazing Graze – a Leeds-based festival celebrating all that's good about life on the street – is on this weekend, and we can’t wait to go. The festival will feature the city’s best street food, street performers, street art and street traders. And it’s held at Left Bank, a beautiful old church that happens to be one of our favorite venues.

4.       Gay marriage becoming legal

Gay marriage is finally legal and we love this news. Channel 4’s ‘Our Gay Wedding: The Musical’ was a fitting celebration and it certainly eased our Monday blues. Love, happiness and music combined – bliss.

5.       Grand National

The Grand National is almost here and betting fever and strangely named horses are gripping the nation. It’s the only time of year we place a bet and this year our money’s on Mr Moonshine, purely because we like his name. Let’s hope there’s a big winnings headline under next week’s loves!
