Stirring Communications: the summer edit
So long, summer! Here’s our end of season snapshot of what’s been going down at Content Soup these last few months – spoiler, it’s been bubblin’ hot, unlike the Great British weather.
Thank you for reading.
Building up to a year of creativity, culture and community
Three C’s we’re all about at Content Soup!
We’ve been working with Rotherham’s Children’s Capital of Culture team for the past few years, and now there are less than four months to go until they take the world’s first title in 2025, things have ramped up ten-fold. We’ve been engaging stakeholders, meeting journalists, managing marketing collateral, planning advertising campaigns, providing strategic comms support, developing media Q&As, writing website briefs and ad straplines, and that’s not even half of it! Looking forward to everything that’s coming up for Rotherham’s amazing young people.
A new videogame adventure
We’ve been working with the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield to promote the first ever real life videogame adventure, coming to Rotherham in October. If you’re into video games, this is not to be missed!
We’ve developed a multichannel marketing plan that will hit the target audience around the chops, making it the must-see activity for the next school holidays.
Everybody needs good neighbours
We’re soon to go live with a feel-good campaign all about helping our neighbours out this winter, and it’s been all hands-on deck to pull it together. It’s involved a website (thanks Ponderosa), video (thanks Manto), design, copywriting, PR, translation services, information booklets, community partnerships and more. We can’t wait to see it out in the wild.
Mad results
We recently won the trade and consumer PR account for the UK’s first premium meat snacking brand, The Mad Butcher. We hit the ground running, landing coverage in the product pages of top tier media and executing the brand’s first ever influencer campaign on Instagram to promote a listing in Ocado. One Reel got over 1 million views! Already planning the next one and going IN on a fresh new social strategy.
Not to mention a swashbuckling new cocktail menu launch for Tiki Hideaway (who are giving out FREE cocktails to celebrate during the whole of September – race you!) and racking up plenty of positive coverage week in, week out for our estate agent clients Manning Stainton and Ryder & Dutton, through property features and highlighting their wonderful work in the community.
Back to school
Summer holidays this year have been lovely and challenging in equal measure, and while we’re genuinely sad to see our boys trot off back to school and be back in the cycle, we’re also grateful for feeling less torn! More memories made.
New season intentions
This Autumn, we’re welcoming a new intern, vowing to get out and about a bit more and not be chained to a desk, setting a 90 minute timer for work breaks, getting into manifestation, organising a spa day, celebrating Jasmine’s birthday, having lovely Autumnal walks, updating our website and content, and getting into investing! Wish us luck.
