New Client

New client: The Mad Butcher

Great news! We’re very pleased to tell you that we are the new PR agency for gourmet meat snacking brand, The Mad Butcher, as it launches into the UK market.

Following a competitive pitch last month, Content Soup won The Mad Butcher team over with our strategic thinking, creative ideas and collaborative approach. Newby Groves said: “We are delighted to be working with Jasmine, Nina and the team at Content Soup. We felt they were the perfect partners to help us with our focus of bringing gourmet snacking and quality charcuterie to the UK.”

Our remit is to help make The Mad Butcher THE premium meat snacking brand in the UK, launching its amazing range of Chorizo Bites, Chilli Pork Snacks and Classic Pork Salami Snacks into supermarkets and pubs and bars, for meat maniacs up and down the country to enjoy.

These premium, traditionally produced meat stick products are smoked over beech wood, dried and cured, to give a rich, smoky flavour, and are ideal for on-the-go snacking and social moments around a charcuterie board, as well as protein-rich lunch options, summer picnics, and to have with a nice cold beverage instead of pork scratchings and peanuts! Having secured its first retail listing with Ocado last month, The Mad Butcher is now proudly the first premium meat snacking product in grocery.

The brand is part of Sigma Alimentos, a global food business and the largest producer of charcuterie in Europe, so we’ll be bringing these credentials out as part of our PR strategy. Having been available in wholesale for six months, Sigma now plans to grow The Mad Butcher business within the retail market, further tapping into the growing UK trend for meat snacking. The category has grown 38% since 2020 and is on track to be worth £454m by 2027.

We’ll be telling the brand’s story in the trade media, driving product recommendations in consumer titles, newsjacking and setting up influencer collabs on behalf of the brand, alongside a strategic corporate PR piece to help the UK market get to know Sigma, which one retail buyer described as ‘the biggest food company no-one’s ever heard of here’. You’re in safe hands with Content Soup.
